Gates Foundation appointed Prof. ZHENG Zhijie as the new Chief Representative in China

Congratulations to Professor ZHENG Zhijie for being appointed as the new Chief Representative in China of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.  

Professor ZHENG is a leading expert in global health and development, with decades of rich experience in academic research and leadership practices. During his tenure at Peking University, he served as the K. C. Wong Chair Professor, the Associate Dean of the PKU Institute for Global Health and Development (PKU-iGHD), and Director of the Department of Global Health, School of Public Health of PKU Health Science Center. He has made outstanding contribution to the development of global health disciplines, talent training system, disease prevention & control strategies, health system mechanisms, and to interdisciplinary and international exchange.

PKU-iGHD looks forward to having Professor ZHENG continuously play an instrumental role in the development of our institute, jointly exploring solutions to major human health issues, providing global public goods, strengthening international cooperation and global health governance, and facilitating the development of a global community with a shared future for human health.
