Richard Hobbs, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford, visited the Institute for Global Health and Development at Peking University.

On November 3, 2023, Professor Richard Hobbs, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Oxford and Director of the Digital Health Institute, visited the Institute for Global Health and Development at Peking University (IGHDPKU), where he engaged in a discussion and exchange with faculty and students.

Professor Liu Guoen, the Director of the Institute for Global Health Development at Peking University (IGHDPKU), welcomed Professor Hobbs to the Institute and provided an overview of its development history, faculty profile, and student training. Professor Liu also shared preliminary ideas for collaborative talent development programs.

Professor Hobbs discussed the University of Oxford's current research progress in global health, digital healthcare, and international cooperation. He expressed surprise and admiration for China's remarkable achievements in scientific, medical, and economic development in recent years. He also engaged with faculty and students on topics such as healthcare systems and digital health, exchanging views and insights.

Professor Hobbs also presented the University of Oxford's experience in talent development programs and expressed a vision for future cooperation with IGHDPKU in launching talent training projects.
