Health inequity and disparity in the geographic distribution of health resources have always been major global health challenges. The rapid development of health measurement technology, geographic information systems, machine learning, and digital technology provides us with better means to deal with this challenge. The institute will build an advanced big data platform, carry out research on health behaviors, health measurements, digital health, access to medicine, and major diseases early warning system, and develop PKU Global Health Index – a series of annual reports, contributing global public goods in seeking innovative solutions to addressing global health issues and helping achieve improvement in global health equity and efficiency.
