On June 16, 2023, Xie Qirun, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited, and Jin Song, Vice President of Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited, along with others, visited the Institute for Global Health and Development (IGHD) at Peking University. Liu Guoen, Director of IGHDand Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor of the National School of Development, and Tian Youzhong, Director of the Strategic Development Department of IGHD, met with the guests at the IGHD office area of the Peking University Science and Technology Park.

Professor Liu first extended a warm welcome to Chairman Xie and her delegation, introducing the mission of IGHD. He elucidated the three main interdisciplinary pillars of global health: health and medicine, economics and management, and international relations and diplomacy. Furthermore, he provided a detailed overview of the institute's research activities and progress.

Chairman Xie then presented an overview of the basic operations and team composition of Sino Biopharmaceutical Limited. She emphasized the company's focus areas in biopharmaceuticals and shared the company's experiences regarding pain management, antiviral treatments for liver diseases, drug market entry, and distribution.

 

Both parties also engaged in discussions and exchanges regarding the value and internationalization of innovative drugs, the application prospects of pain management, and related topics in pharmacoeconomics. They shared their respective views on promoting development and innovation in the medical and health fields.
