On March 4, 2025, Liang Yangchun, president of Management World Magazine, and his delegation visited Peking University Institute for Global Health and Development to conduct research and exchange on the theme of "Medical Management and health governance".

Professor Qin Xuezheng, deputy director of the Institute for Global Health and Development of Peking University, presided over the exchange. Professor Wang Dong, Vice Minister of the Department of Social Sciences and Director of the Think Tank Office of Peking University, delivered a speech on behalf of the Department of Social Sciences of Peking University. He extended a warm welcome to the visit of President Liang Yangchun and his delegation, and introduced the overall situation of the construction of academic journals and the construction of the knowledge system of philosophy and social sciences of Peking University. Professor Liu Guo-en, Director of the Institute of Global Health Development of Peking University, introduced the development history of the Institute and the main achievements in academic research, personnel training and international cooperation. President Liu Guo-en spoke highly of "Management World", pointing out that as the top academic journal of economic management in China, it has always paid attention to major issues in China's management and governance with a rigorous academic attitude and cutting-edge perspective, especially the latest column "Medical management and health governance", which is of great significance to promoting the development strategy of "Healthy China 2030".

President Liang Yangchun introduced the purpose, core functions and mission vision of "Management World". He pointed out that "Management World" has always advocated the academic community to study major practical issues in China's economic and social development, leading the academic frontier and theoretical innovation. Around the newly opened column of "Medical Management and Health Governance", President Liang Yangchun shared his views from international experience and typical cases, grassroots health governance experience, public hospital reform, the application of artificial intelligence in health governance and the optimization of medical resource allocation, and hoped that by setting up the column of "Medical management and health governance", Present high-quality academic research results in medical and health fields, strengthen academic exchanges and experience sharing, and provide theoretical support for solving key and difficult problems existing in practice.

In view of the topic selection, research direction and related academic issues, the experts at the meeting conducted in-depth exchanges with President Liang Yangchuan and his delegation, focusing on the current frontier issues and research hotspots in the field of medical management and health governance, including the practical experience of different medical reform models, the availability and application prospects of medical data, the key issues of national medical insurance drug catalog and consumables management. The participants called for great attention to medical management and health governance in order to achieve more effective health management and resource allocation, and looked forward to the positive role of the "Medical Management and health governance" column of "Management World".
