Maigeng Zhou, PhD in Epidemiology and Biostatistics, is the Deputy Director, Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor of National Center for Chronic and Noncommunicable Disease Control and Prevention, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Dr. Zhou serves as the Chairman of Health Metrics and Evaluation Committee of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association and Chairman of Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Committee of China Health Information and Health Big Data Association. Dr. Zhou was awarded Expert of National Talents Project and the Special Government Allowance from the State Council of China.

Dr. Zhou’s research interests include the prevention and control of chronic diseases, big data analytics in chronic diseases, population health metrics and evaluation, environment and health, etc. In recent years, he has led and participated in more than 10 projects from Ministry of Science and Technology, Natural Science Foundation of China, as well as the international cooperation. He has published more than 200 articles in peer-reviewed journals in Chinese and English.
