Prof. Yang Xie is Associate Professor in the School of Economics and Management at Beihang University. Prof. Xie’s research interests lie in health economics and global health, focusing on the quantitative analysis of the health and macroeconomic impacts of air pollution and climate change. By adopting integrated health assessment model coupled with air quality model and macroeconomic model, her research quantitatively assesses the health and economic impacts of air pollution, climate change at global, Asian, national and regional scales. Prof. Xie has published over 70 papers in top journals in the field of environmental health such as Nature Communications, One Earth, Lancet Regional Health, Environmental Science & Technology, and Environment International, including 9 highly cited papers in the top 1% of ESI. Prof. Xie holds dual doctoral degrees of M.D. degree from Peking University in 2013 and Ph.D. degree in Public Policy from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2017.
