Youzhong Tian is the Assistant Dean and Head of Strategic Development of the Institute for Global Health and Development at Peking University, a doctor of sociology and research professor. He has served in the Department of Social Development of the National Development and Reform Commission, and was in charge of the third group of the Office of the Leading Group of Healthcare Reform of the State Council. He has also served as the chairman of the Rural Smart Healthcare Working Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctors' Association, as the vice president of the Practice Innovation Branch of the Chinese Society of Research Hospitals, and as the vice president of the Overseas Exchange Association of Jiangsu Province. He has published more than 50 papers (including translations) in central and provincial journals such as Philosophical Studies and Sociological Studies, and has completed 12 monographs, co-authorships, and translations. He has edited or written more than 200 issues of briefings (special issues) for the State Council Leading Group of Medical Reform.
