Professor Jintao Xu, Peking University Boya Distinguished Professor, Director of the China Center for Environmental and Energy Economics, Associate Dean, National School of Development. He is also a Professor at the Institute for Global Health and Development. He received Bachelor in engineering at Jilin University of Technology in 1984, Master in agricultural sciences at Beijing Forestry University in 1988. Later he obtained his MA in economics (1996) and Ph.D in Forestry and Forest Products (1999) both from Virginia Tech. His papers appeared at AJAE, JEEM, Land Economics, World Development, Ecological Economics, etc. He served as associate editor of AJAE. Currently, he serves on editorial boards of JEEM and European Review of Agricultural Economics. He was sponsored by the Key International Collaboration Project of the Natural Science Foundation of China, and has carried out a number of key investigation projects sponsored by the State Forestry Administration.
