Health economic experiment for targeted poverty alleviation: An Interventional Study in Sichuan Liangshan is funded by National Natural Science Foundation of China (No. 71833001), which is chaired by Professor Liu of the PKU Institute for Global Health and Development, jointly developed by the National Research Institute for Family Planning. This program aims to carry out health intervention to improve local health human capital based on the field conditions in Liangshan area, and to evaluate the impacts of health intervention on residents’ health and income levels within the framework of a randomized controlled experiment. Specifically, this study aims to achieve the following two objectives. On the one hand, the present study aims to investigate factors associated with decreasing the likelihood of falling back to medical poverty among residents; on the other hand, this study tries to improve residents' health human capital and to enhance the ability to raise labor income. In addition, the project will propose a forward-looking policy implementation path that is in line with the actual conditions of the region, and build a health poverty alleviation policy system for the Tibetan-Qiang-Yi Corridor represented by Liangshan, and try to solve the problems in the development of healthy human capital of residents in the region. Based on empirical data, this study will provide a scientific evidence for the government to formulate relevant health policies.
