2023年12月1日上午10:00-11:00，北京大学全球健康发展研究院成功举办2023年秋季第九期Reading Club，本次活动的主讲人为北京大学全球健康发展研究院博士生梁钧霆。

本次活动分享的文章为Zarek Brot-Goldber, Amitabh Chandra, Benjamin R. Handel, and Jonathan T. Kolstad 2017年发表在《The Quarterly Journal of Economics》上的一篇文章：What does a deductible do? The Impact of cost-sharing on health care prices, quantities, and spending dynamic，该研究使用了一个公司的职工数据，通过DID研究法模型，探讨了从完全受保转换到有起付线和报销比例的医疗保险对职工医疗消费使用的影响。DID的结果表示，医疗费用降低的区间在[11.31,15.20]% 之间。接着，作者对医疗消费进行拆分最终得出结论医疗服务费用的降低主要来源于医疗服务数量的减少。职工在起付线以下会显著降低医疗费用约42.2%，因为这部分医疗费用需要个人支付全额支付。到达Out-Of-Pocket-Max时，也就是当职工不需要自己支付后，他们的医疗消费没有下降。
